Tri State Officials Group was founded with a simple mission: to raise the standard of youth sports officiating by providing structured training, dependable scheduling services, and experienced leadership at tournaments. Built by officials for officials, we understand the challenges of the role and the importance of preparation, communication, and confidence on the field.
From our early days helping local leagues find reliable umpires, we’ve grown into a trusted partner for organizations throughout the tri-state area. Our team brings years of hands-on experience in officiating, tournament operations, and umpire-in-chief leadership. Raising the Standard of Youth Sports Officiating

UIC (Umpire-in-Chief) Tournament Services

Umpire Training
We provide hands-on instruction for new and returning umpires, covering rules, mechanics, positioning, and game management. Our training builds confidence and consistency so officials can succeed on the field.
Liability Protection
Members of Tri-State Officials Group are provided excess medical and liability insurance coverage while officiating all events regardless of sanction. This coverage is designed to offer an added layer of protection beyond any primary insurance, helping safeguard officials against unforeseen medical expenses or liability claims arising from their officiating duties. Coverage applies only while acting in an official TSOG-assigned capacity and is subject to policy terms and conditions.

About the Scholarship
The TSOG Guardians of the Game Scholarship is a one-time award recognizing students who
demonstrate integrity, leadership, and sportsmanship through their involvement in softball, including participation, officiating, coaching, and volunteer service.
Who Should Apply?

Individuals involved in softball as players, umpires, coaches, or volunteers
